At Last...Lets DOH it!

As you may have noticed: No Therapeutic Claims at the end of a supplement ad was replaced with
"Mahalagang Paalala: Ang (name of product) Ay Hindi Gamot At Hindi Dapat Gamiting Panggamot sa Anumang Uri ng Sakit,”


Good job DOH! Mas maiintindihan na ngayon ng tao if we used the vernacular sa mga herbal ads. Parang minura ka ng F$@K YOU vs minura ka ng P.I. mo  the later is much more powerful and felt because its your own language. Same din pag sinabi mong T*T* vs  penis we can say penis anytime kasi ok lang and its deemed bastos pag yun local term ang ginamit. 


As you may have noticed I am against these herbal supplements from the start. From experience patients tend to buy these drugs more than our prescribed drugs thinking that it is safer and more effective. They really don't notice the disclaimer at the end of the commercial. Worse is they spend a lot money to buy the supplements but they complain about the price of a prescribed drug.In the end amount they spent for their freakin anti oxidants are much bigger than their real meds. May isang patiente na di makabili ng isang prescribed antihypertensive drug. Nahulog ang bag nya bumulatlat ang dami ng supplement na iniinom nya. 



 Doc: Ang dami po nyan ah!
 Patient: Ay oo iho. Sabi kasi nakakatulong daw ito sa puso.
            Ito naman sa atay at ito sa kidney
            Ito sa cancer dahil antioxidant.
 Doc: Ahh ok


Ang nireseta kong gamot sa kanya ay wala pang 20 pesos yun total na iniinom nya mas malaki pa. Pag ang high blood na control makakabuti sa lahat ng organs dahil walang namamatay sa hypertension sa complications nito meron!


Kudos to our health secretary Dra Cabral for taking a stand against aggresive herbal ads that have misled most of our kababayans. I know mam your getting a lot of flak from the herbal groups but I'll support you all the way. Di naman natin sila pinipigilan mag benta eh nag bibigay lang tayo ng babala. Personally I allow my patients to use these supplements if they want to as long as they're taking their prescribed medications and not replacing them.

Basic Traffic Rule

Ever since I started working sa Pasig area I really can't help but be pissed off everyday dahil sa walang sense na traffic. I usually come from the south so I ply the northbound stretch of  EDSA around 6-6:45 AM. The northbound stretch is supposed to have light to moderate traffic because usually the southbound stretch is jammed. Most of the motorists kasi go to Makati CBD for work. So bakit ba mabagal ang galaw ng northbound  during the morning rush hour? I drive a pick-up and I could see na hindi talaga traffic at mabagal lang talaga for some freakin' reason! Pinoy drivers tend to hog the left lane!

The left lane technically is for passing thru slower vehicles sa right. Pag tapos mo lagpasan babalik ka na dapat sa right. Kaya technically bastos pag nag overtake ka from the right pero here in the Philippines we are forced to do it para lang makarating kami sa oras at maka overtake sa mga HUNGHANG na mababagal na drivers na nasa kaliwa. Mas masahol pa kayo sa JEJEMONS!  Bakit ba ang hirap sa inyo na tumabi? Di naman kayo bubusinahan kung hindi kayo mabagal eh or kung alam na may sasakyan pa kayo na binubuntutan. Ano ba problema nyo? You are putting normal drivers in danger dahil we need to find a way to go around you. We need to use the lane nearest to the yellow lane to try to overtake you. Napupunta kami sa mercy ng mga demonyong bus naman! Please lang  kung mabagal use the middle or right lane. Driving slowly is not always driving safely. Being to defensive is offensive to other drivers!

Basic clinical profile ng left lane hoggers based on observation.
1. Owner type jeeps
2. Public fx or van na punong puno at umuusok.(akala nyo mabilis kayo dahil umuusok na siguro)
3. Container van or truck ( i understand mahirap mag shift ng lanes pero from the start wag na kayo sa left)
4. Tricycles, pedicabs (Shoot to kill dapat kayo automatic lalo na sa edsa and commonwealth)
5.  Middle aged mommy drivers ( sorry just an observation. sila din ay usually oblivious sa busina at flashing)
6. Mga driver na nagtetex
8. Senior citizens (excusable)
7. High end cars na sobrang bagal for no apparent reason. (ito ang pinaka kups sa lahat sayang ang kotse nyo leche!)

Election Fever

Ang hirap maghanap ng time mag blog. I really wanted to blog about the C5 extension Bicutan segment na kailangan mo bumili ng sticker sa Moonwalk because I think is really unfair pero next time na lang ule.

Sorry I can't help it but pag usapan ang May 10 elections. Sa wakas mapapalitan na ang napakagaling natin na presidente. Take note magaling lang ang sinabi ko, which I think magaling nga talaga sya hehehehe di ko na ikwa- qualify (di naman parang jejemon yun statement di ba?) I think we would be better off without her unless a former action star wins again and re-starts his midnight cabinet.

Recent surveys shows that Noynoy is a almost unreachable right now. Sad thought though, because he hasn't really proven anything aside from his pedigree. I just hope he'll keep his promise to clean the government. Honestly, I think Tita Cory failed to clean the government kasi yun mga alipores nya ang nagnanakaw. She was clean alright but nahirapan sya linisin ang government embedded with corruption. 

I would really love to see the day na mag-iisip na lang talaga ang pinoy regarding whom to vote. Listen to debates on national issues. Hindi bandwagon system or lesser evil system, which is still prevalent right now based on the surveys. The principle of the wasted vote. Oo nga di mananalo but at least you voted within your conscience irregardless or the perceived outcome. For all we know na there is a big chunk of population na nasa "wasted vote" and lahat kayo will vote for the REAL right one in your mind malay natin manalo nga yun presidente na yun. Isipin din natin sino ba ang presidente na we can be proud of, yun pag pumunta sa ibang bansa iba ang dating di ba? Mala OBAMA. (Di kakulay ni obama ang tinutukoy ko, I'm not endorsing anyone)

I got a million things on my mind about the elections and I just can't organize my thoughts right now given my limited blogging time. One thing that saddens me nga pala are the top senatoriables. Wala na bang iba? Puro name recall na lang? Yun artista jan ano na ba nagawa mo di ka ba nahihiya na tumatakbo ka ulet? Di ba kung na-elect ka sinuswelduhan ka so dapat may gawin ka ! Mandate nyo gumawa ng batas at di magpataasan ng ihi everytime my senate investigation. I think it is almost like stealing kung wala ka din ginagawa diba?
